Sunday Catch-up #7

Phew…what a week! You may have noticed my daily posts haven’t happened for a few days, which was not in my plans. My school received ‘the call’ which any teacher can tell you is followed by sleepless nights, tears, stress and lots of tea and chocolate. Suffice to say my diet has gone out of the window for the last few days but I am so happy it is now half term. I have spent the weekend with my best friends and have a romantic break with Ian to look forward to in a few days too…life is good!

It may not be the most jam-packed edition but this week I have been…

Making: a start on my first essay since I did my teacher training

Going: to cheer on my team with burgers at the pub

Wearing: the brightest nail varnish I own

Eating: EVERYTHING!!! I kid you not; when I am stressed, I comfort eat and this week has seen a copious amount of cheeseburgers eaten!

Drinking: a well-deserved beer at the end of the week

Reading: ravioli recipes for cooking inspiration

Watching: American Office episodes in bed

Buying: train tickets for a few London trips

Planning: a relaxing week off

Cooking: a new quiche recipe

Baking: nothing this week!

Writing: shopping lists to test out a whole host of new recipes this week

Favouriting: local spas for a day out with my girls

Working on: perfection!

Trying to decide: what to do when we visit Windsor later this week – any recommendations?!

Wishing: for more hours in the day

Enjoying: the tropical scent of this new body lotion

Needing: more fresh flowers in my life (these were from my Valentine)

Feeling: grateful for all the ‘good luck’ messages from friends and family this week

Giggling at: our attempts to do a double plank!

About hannahhotcakes

My name is Hannah. I live near Bath in a lovely village in the Cotswolds with my husband Ian, the love of my life for the past 10 years, in our dream cottage. I have landed my dream job as a primary school teacher and I can’t think of anything else I would rather be doing. I am a self-confessed foodie and I love to cook, bake, and eat out as much as possible. Here are some things I love: My friends and family, travelling, fresh flowers, good books, having breakfast on my balcony, horror films, Christmas, tea, Las Vegas, lie-ins, red wine, Liverpool FC, music, sausage dogs, Spain, rare steak, fashion, cheese, American TV series and camping. And here are my pet hates: People dressed as animals, whistling, being rushed, being made to wait, girls who act stupid to impress a man, spiders, sunburn and rocket (it comes with EVERYTHING!)
